About the Workshop

The ASHI Clinical Informatics Workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to the field of HLA informatics to help you understand and better utilize the histocompatibility data you work with every day.

In this workshop, you will:
*Work directly with real-world data sets from clinical lab information systems and transplant registries in guided, hands-on projects.
*Explore cutting-edge tools and analysis techniques presented by leading immunogenetics researchers and histocompatibility       informatics developers.
*Gain practical skills in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment with direct assistance from instructors.
 
Who should attend?
This workshop is designed for all HLA professionals. We welcome technologists, scientists, coordinators, and directors who are new to or interested in better leveraging informatics in their work.

Prerequisites:
*No prior programming experience is necessary! We will provide all the beginner-level resources and assistance you will need to be   successful.
*Participants must bring a laptop computer to participate in the hands-on sessions.

Attendees of the ASHI Clinical Informatics Workshop (ACIW) are invited to submit a case study related to the topics covered by our faculty. Please note that the case study submission is optional.

Selected authors (3 to 5 individuals) will be asked to give a brief 5–10 minute presentation during the workshop.

ACHI Continuing Education Credits

ASHI will be applying for ACHI continuing education credits. Awarded hours and CECs will be updated at a later date.
