Virtual Happy Hour: Analyzing Wage Trends, Education Costs, and Future Priorities in U.S. Medical Laboratories Hosted by the Technologists' Affairs Committee (TAC)This webinar will present data from past Wage Surveys and preliminary results from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) 2025 Wage Survey, offering an early look at compensation trends among U.S. medical laboratory professionals. It will also highlight early findings from the Laboratory Education Financing Study, examining the costs and funding mechanisms of laboratory training programs and their implications for recruitment and workforce sustainability. In addition, participants will learn about the impact of the Medical and Public Health Laboratory Workforce (MPHLW) Coalition on nine key recommendations from the Blueprint for Action and explore six newly identified workforce needs that are significant for the future of the laboratory profession. • Gain insights from the ASCP Wage Surveys into evolving compensation patterns in the U.S. laboratory workforce. • Review early results from the Laboratory Education Financing Study to assess barriers and opportunities in funding laboratory education and training. • Explore the MPHLW Coalition’s progress on the Blueprint for Action and examine six new workforce needs influencing the profession’s future.
