ashi wants you

Welcome to ASHI's Volunteer Portal where you can volunteer for projects that fit your interests, expertise and schedule. ASHI offers a variety of ways to get involved, from short-term volunteer projects to committee, council, and board service. We encourage you to deepen your engagement with ASHI and your HLA peers by volunteering today!

Volunteer Process

1. Complete the online volunteer application. Volunteer applications are accepted year round. Volunteers must be active ASHI members with no outstanding membership dues. To complete the volunteer application, please visit the Important Documents and Links section at the bottom of this page.

2. An ASHI staff member will submit your application to the committee chair. If there is no availability on the committee of your first choice, your application will be passed on the next committee in the order of your stated preference.

3. You will receive an email with further instructions. If you are accepted onto a committee, you will be contacted via the email address on your volunteer application with important committee details including committee chairs' contact information, recent meeting minutes to review and an invitation to participate in the next committee conference call. You will also be notified if a committee is at capacity and will receive instructions on how to reapply once there is availability.
