Breaux, Frist Introduce Medicare Reform Proposals
Sen. John Breaux (D-LA) and Sen. Bill Frist (R-TN) reintroduced two versions of their Medicare reform proposal on Thursday. These proposals are designed to modernize Medicare and add an outpatient prescription drug benefit to the program.

Both bills are based on the premium support recommendations made by the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare, on which both Sens. Breaux and Frist served.
