The ASHI Forum is now available here.

The ASHI Forum is a digital discussion forum for ASHI members to discuss a variety of topics such as transplantation, case studies, other lab issues, etc. ASHI committees can also use the ASHI Forum to discuss their own topics.

Registration

Instructions for registering and logging on to the ASHI Forum

  1. Select ‘Register' at the top of the page.
  2. Agree to the Terms.
  3. Enter appropriate information: Username, email address, password; Select your own preferences, then Submit.
  4. The Forum Introduction and Instructions section has some brief instructions on how to receive messages in your email, and other instructions on how to post and reply to messages.
  5. Select “Log In” to re-enter the ASHI Forum.

Responsibilities of the Moderator

Each forum will have several moderators. The responsibilities of the moderator are to watch the forum and facilitate discussions. They can also edit, delete, move, lock and unlock messages. If you are a moderator in a private (committee) forum you will be adding the selected committee members to that forum and keeping the member list current.

Instructions for moderating a public forum

  1. Select the forum that you moderate. At the bottom of the page on the right hand side you will see all the things you can and can't do. Enter the Moderator Control Panel by selecting ‘you can moderate this forum'. Select a topic to edit.

Instructions for adding members to a private or committee forum.

  1. Open a forum.
  2. Select usergroup at the top of the page.
  3. In the Current Memberships section, Select the pulldown menu and select the Forum you wish to add people. Then select View Information.
  4. Under the Group Members section, enter the username or select Find Username and enter the name or and * to find a username. (it helps to know the username of an individual if they use something other than their name). Select the name, or enter the name in the box, then select Add Member.
  5. You can remove members by selecting them and then select Remove Selected.
